Opsgenie Exit Sprint · end of support 5 April 2027
Leave Opsgenie without missing a page.
Atlassian ends Opsgenie support on 5 April 2027, and data that hasn't been moved by then is deleted. We move your on-call setup, alerts and phone paging in a fixed-price sprint, and test it before you switch Opsgenie off.
What we move
- Who is on call, and the order people are called in
- Alerts from your monitoring tools: Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus Alertmanager, New Relic and any tool that sends a webhook
- Phone calls and SMS for critical alerts, with "press 1 to acknowledge"
- Escalation: if nobody answers, the next person is called
How the sprint runs
| Step | What happens | Time |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 20-minute scoping call; you create a read-only Opsgenie API key | Day 1 |
| 2 | We export your Opsgenie setup and send you a one-page migration plan | Day 2 |
| 3 | We set up the Steadsignal pager and switch each monitoring tool to it | Days 3–5 |
| 4 | Test alerts from every tool; your phone rings, you press 1 | Day 5 |
| 5 | 48 hours running in parallel with Opsgenie, then you switch Opsgenie off | Days 6–7 |
Two phases, so you can start now
- Available now: teams with one on-call rota and up to 3 monitoring tools. From 23 November, Grafana and Alertmanager only need their Opsgenie address changed.
- From 1 February 2027: full import of rotations, multiple teams, overrides and escalation rules. Book now and we schedule your migration for February or March. Last migration slot: 22 March 2027.

Questions
Can't we just use Atlassian's migration to Jira Service Management?
Yes, if you already pay for Jira Service Management and want everything there. The Exit Sprint is for teams who mainly need phone paging and want something simpler, or who don't use Atlassian otherwise.
Do our phone numbers move across?
No migration moves phone numbers automatically. Each person confirms their number once by text message.
What doesn't the pager do?
It has no mobile app, Slack buttons or status page. It phones the right person for critical alerts, escalates if nobody answers and keeps a record. If you rely on the rest, we'll tell you on the scoping call and help you choose another tool.
What if something goes wrong during the switch?
Opsgenie keeps running in parallel for 48 hours, so no alert is lost.
